Rev. John Legg has served the local church for over 30 years in a variety of contexts. He has found ministry effectiveness in the large church, as a church planter, overseeing a church merger, closing an ineffective congregation and turning around a multicultural congregation from potential closure to an innovative and relevant ministry with a healthy campus monetization strategy using ministry partnerships.
John believes and demonstrates that you don’t have to be a “one type of church” leader. The equipped leader can be success no matter the context by utilizing principled Christian leadership that depends on personal and organization honesty, self awareness, willingness to learn, spiritual depth and sensitivity to the power of the Holy Spirit.
the tough process of working with wounded people from a highly conflicted situation and begun to address root problems that prohibited progress.
Testimonials
John offered me guidance, encouragement and a staggering number of opportunities, always setting me up for success. When I succeeded, we celebrated together. When I failed, he was never harsh. He treated failure as a chance to address something and improve. He’s the kind of leader you follow because you want to not because you have to. He’s the kind of teacher who truly wants what is best for his students. He’s the kind of coach who cares for the whole of the team on and off the field. If you want to become a better, more effective leader, than I whole-heartedly and without reservation recommend Rev. John Legg as your coach.
Rev. Christopher S. Haden, Kindred United Methodist Church
I watched (John) as he equipped younger members patiently and systematically, gently nudging them into leadership positions. He implemented a much-needed discipleship process toward following Jesus and serving in the local church. He built lay leaders and staff from the ground up and the church grew in its baptisms and outreach.
I found his leadership skills quite compelling. His collaborative style of building teams, no matter which ones, led me to ask him to do some training during workshops led by Griffith Coaching. Not only is he a good builder of disciples, but also a wonderful trainer.
